Facilities Maintenance Specialist

Overview

American Repair Maintenance (ARM) is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our service delivery team. We deliver high-quality commercial maintenance and customer service to our clients and operate as a strategic partner with a dynamic culture, great benefits, and technology-enabled work processes.

• Utilize 5+ years of commercial maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, and flooring, plus a high school diploma or equivalent vocational certification(s), proven mechanical aptitude, and proficiency in reading assembly and blueprint drawings to deliver exceptional service with minimal direct supervision.
• Be the eyes and ears in the field, responsible for successfully completing service tickets in a designated territory in a cost-conscious, high-quality, timely manner.
• Maintain clear lines of professional communication with lead technicians, field supervisors, field managers, and office staff on open issues and progress of all work assigned, including thorough documentation.
• Be flexible and cooperative with fellow employees and customers while displaying a high level of professionalism.
• Follow all policies and procedures to ensure proper and safe working conditions.
• With paid mileage reimbursement, travel up to 500–2000 miles per week to client sites.
• Meet the demands of a flexible and adaptable schedule, including on-call, overnight, and weekend availability; some assignments may require short overnight travel (1–4 nights).
• Provide your own reliable transportation (capacity to transport tools and equipment such as a 16 ft. truck, ladder, sheet rock, sewer machine), valid driver’s license, hand tools, and toolbox suitable for the job.
• Be comfortable and proficient with technology, including industry-specific software, mobile applications, and digital tools to complete work orders, communicate with team members, and document service activities.
• Be able to lift up to 80 lbs., apply up to 200 pounds of torque, and perform work while bending, stooping, standing, sitting, and lying down.
