Festival Foods Bakery Bench Hand – Suamico, WI – Part-Time

What

You'll Do
  • Provide exceptional guest service by greeting guests, answering questions, addressing concerns, and helping with what they need.
  • Production excellence: follow recipes and production lists to produce high-quality pastry and bakery items; monitor dates and freshness and handle outdated items appropriately.
  • Sanitation and cleanliness: maintain bakery prep areas, surfaces, tools, and equipment; follow Health Department guidelines and Festival Foods sanitation and safety practices, including proper glove use.
  • Inventory and stock management: oversee items on the sales floor and ensure coverage for the evening; keep cooler, freezer, and dry storage areas clean and organized.
  • Offer assistance: help guests find items, take and fulfill special orders, and address product concerns or issues.
  • Food safety: maintain food safety logs and meet quality standards, including quantity expectations at designated times.
  • Support: assist all bakery associates with daily responsibilities and contribute to overall department cleanliness and organization.
  • Teamwork: perform other duties as needed to support the team.
  • Honor commitments: maintain regular, timely attendance and provide adequate notice to arrange replacements for occasional absences.
What We're Looking For
  • Experience and skills:

    ability to engage with guests and coworkers with a solid understanding of baking and pastry production; knowledge of food service operations is essential.
  • Safety: follow all safety requirements and company policies with proper training and knowledge of bakery equipment and procedures, including ovens, mixers, and slicing machinery.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Stand for extended periods; bend, stoop, and kneel regularly (70% of time)
  • Full range of upper body motion
  • Lifting up to 60 pounds frequently (50% of time)
  • Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures (20% of time)
  • Nearby moving machinery (70% of time)
  • Repetitive motion of hands and wrists
Work Schedule

The Bakery Bench Hand is a position that may be part-time or full-time. The work schedule generally includes mornings, afternoons, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to work evenings or overnight as needed.
