Quality Engineer

Vehicle Security Innovators, LLC creates custom security products for the transportation industry.

Our largest customers are Semi Truck manufactures. VSI supplies these truck companies with locks and keys for their heavy trucks. Other customers are After Market consumers where we build security products for light trucks and 4x4's. Some examples include replacement tailgate locks and vehicle lock boxes.

Position Description

This Quality position will focus on four key functions:

• Customer Quality
  - VSI's customers require their parts meet quality expectations. Other requirements including packaging and documentation. (ISO/IATF) This may include credits and debits for poor quality.
• ISO Audits
  - VSI is certified to the IATF 16949 standard with annual audits. The Quality Engineer will prepare, coordinate, and ensure completion of these required audits. This person will become an expert in our Quality Management System (QMS).
• Supplier Quality
  - Work closely with production and engineering. If incoming parts and components are outside of their given tolerance the Quality Engineer will communicate with our suppliers and find the best resolution. This may include credits and debits for poor quality.
• Inspection
  - Spot checking parts, processes, and periodic internal audits are necessary to ensure consistency within our organization.

A successful candidate will possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Other duties may include PPAP, FMEA, MSA, APQP, Control Plans, reading blueprints, and using measuring equipment.
