An LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) will be responsible for pre‑visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carrying out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This full‑time, 40‑hour per week position is located in the Prevea Health GYN/ONC & OB/GYN departments cent, Green Bay, Wisconsin.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for pre‑visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions and carries out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient’s visit.

• Room patients, perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families as directed within scope of licensure or certification.
• Prepare patients and assist medical providers with in‑office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to be within infection control standards.
• Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

• Current clinical experience as a licensed practical nurse.
• Knowledge of principles and skills needed to provide patient care, medical equipment, instruments and common safety hazards.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
• Problem‑solving skills, proficiency in EMR systems, computers, phones and office equipment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Valid Practical Nursing license issued by the State of WI.
• CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program.

• Climb (stairs/ladders) – Occasionally;
  Bend – Occasionally.
