GLUER OPERATORS at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton Division summary:
Operate and set up folder-gluer and window-gluer machines to produce cartons to specification, performing feeding, troubleshooting, adjustments, jam clearing, and routine maintenance while meeting production quotas and quality standards. Role requires repetitive manual lifting (up to 50 lbs), fine motor skills, mechanical aptitude, following written/verbal instructions, shift work (3rd shift with initial training on 1st shift), and adherence to safety and quality-first practices.
Prior manufacturing, folder-gluing, quality control, or troubleshooting experience is preferred; benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, and retirement plans.
Our Gluer Operators are responsible for the set-up and operation of folder-gluer machines, ensuring all cartons meet our high-quality standards, for all our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up window/folder-gluer machines
- Feed machines during production runs
- High-Volume Manual Feeding: Must be able to continuously lift, fan, and load stacks of paperboard into the machine feed. This requires repetitive reaching and gripping.
- Troubleshoot and perform machine adjustments as needed
- Must be comfortable standing and moving in a fast-paced environment for the duration of an 8-hour shift, maintaining the physical pace required to keep the machine running at target speeds.
- Follow work instructions and procedures for each job
- Meet job quotas and maintain product conformance to specifications
- Perform general maintenance
- Fine motor skills required for clearing occasional jams and making precise adjustments to belts, guides, and glue guns.
- Handle all other duties as assigned

- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to communicate and comprehend written and verbal instructions
- Ability to work with technology and automated systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively
- Must be willing to work 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday, 10pm-6am) with some overtime/weekend work
- Training on 1st Shift (Monday - Friday, 6am-2pm) up to the first 120 days of employment
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred, but not required
