Job Description

KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Shear Operator to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 3rd shift. The 3rd shift includes an hourly shift differential of $3.00. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Operate and set up the Haven Shear and End Finisher, making adjustments to ensure accurate production.
  • Complete daily safety inspections of the shear and end finisher.
  • Cut the correct materials according to shop orders.
  • Change blades as necessary and adjust machines based on tubing diameter and length.
  • Transport bundles of steel tubing utilizing a hoist system.
  • Perform tasks in alignment with ISO Quality Standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Minimum Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
Value Added Skills
  • Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required.
  • Communication skills.
  • Computer knowledge.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to take measurements using the decimal system.
  • Ability to read KI prints will be useful.
Physical Requirements
  • Working in areas that can get warm.
  • Working in a smoke-free environment.
  • Standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending activities.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow.
Shift
  • This is a 3rd shift position.
  • Hours are 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning.
  • Shift premium of $3.00/hour.
  • Overtime during busy season.
