Job Description
KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full‑time Shear Operator to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 2nd shift.
Job Duties- Set up the Haven Shear and End Finisher and make adjustments to ensure accurate product is being produced.
- Complete daily safety inspections of the shear and end finisher.
- Cut the correct materials according to the shop orders.
- Change blades as necessary.
- Change and adjust machines based on tubing diameter and length.
- Transport bundles of steel tubing utilizing a hoist system.
- Perform multiple tasks to meet ISO Quality Standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Value Added Skills- Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience (but not required).
- Communication skills.
- Computer knowledge.
- Willingness to learn.
- Ability to take measurements using the decimal system.
- Ability to read KI print will be useful.
- Working in areas where it can get warm.
- Working in a smoke‑free environment.
- Activities include standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow.
This is a 2nd Shift position. Hours are 2pm – 10pm, Monday – Friday. Shift premium of $2.00/hour. Overtime during busy season.
