A growing subsidiary, Pep’s Pizza Company, produces our signature frozen pizza brands—Legit, Drafthaus, Maestro, and Luige’s—distributed in grocery stores and retail locations across the country.

Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist supports both A&K Crust and Pep’s Pizza Company, maintaining reliable inventory counts and ensuring accurate, efficient processes throughout warehousing, production, and quality departments. Frequent internal audits will be performed monthly across all facilities.

Ideal candidates have at least two consecutive years of experience in warehousing, food production, or manufacturing environments, and a proven ability to handle fast‑paced, problem‑solving duties.

Successful candidates demonstrate professionalism, ownership, and initiative, proactively using clear communication to resolve inventory discrepancies and take on new responsibilities as business needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cycle Counting – Cycle count all raw material and finished goods in all facilities monthly.
  • Coordinate with Warehouse and Production leadership on discrepancies and adjustments and investigate data to find causation.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs regarding cycle counting processes and improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with audit standards and assist with all audit activities.
  • Communicate and compile data on inventory inaccuracies; investigate and isolate causes.
  • Run and present inventory reports analytically to upper management upon request.
  • Analyze data points and create solutions to improve accuracy and reduce adjustments.
Warehouse Support & Process Improvement
  • Collaborate with warehouse and data teams to improve cycle count and storage practices.
  • Coordinate inventory movements between plants and forecast production needs.
  • Verify and reconcile shipping and receiving errors related to accuracy.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, service quality, and cost reduction.
  • Track pallet movements across the supply chain within all facilities.
  • Serve as primary contact for inaccuracies and errors related to consumption, shipping, and receiving.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and communication logs to prevent chargebacks or compliance issues.
Qualifications
  • At least two years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, cycle counting, and staffing coordination.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience with inventory systems, ERP, or WMS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; bilingual a plus.
  • Assertive, polite, and efficient when investigating sensitive topics such as waste, fraud, or inefficiencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems, prioritize, and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and data analysis tools.
  • Ability to use interconnected systems and take initiative to create efficiency.
  • Highly organized, detail‑oriented, customer‑focused with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Basic mathematical aptitude and confidence in computational problem‑solving.
  • Team player with initiative and willingness to assist across departments and take ownership of new challenges.
Working Conditions
  • Standard workweek:
    Monday–Friday, approximately 8–9 hours per day.
  • Occasional extended hours or weekends may be required to meet deadlines.

Language Skills
:
Ability to understand and follow instructions and to communicate effectively one‑on‑one and in small groups. Teamwork and a positive attitude are essential.

Safety
:
Employees must comply with company Safe Practices. Slip‑resistant footwear is required; the company provides a voucher for safety shoes.
