Housekeeper (Airport) – COUNTY OF BROWN

Ready to keep the County’s airport clean and safe? We’re looking for an experienced Housekeeper to join our dedicated team.

• Cleans and provides housekeeping services throughout county‑owned and leased facilities according to established procedures.
• Full‑time availability, Monday‑Friday 1:30 p‑10 p, with every 5th Saturday and Sunday approximately 6 a‑2:30 p.
• Internal cleaning duties: vacuuming, shampooing, carpet and floor cleaning, stripping, waxing, polishing, cleaning fixtures, furniture, ceilings, walls, windows, restrooms, waste disposal, garbage‑can sanitation, and ensuring adequate stock of supplies.
• Operates equipment, performs operational checks, empties and cleans air vents, smooths stainless‑steel fixtures, requisitions supplies.
• Completes and maintains necessary documentation according to applicable requirements, codes and policies.
• Drains, fills and maintains terminal water fountains and understands the Global Harmonized System (GHS).
• Performs related functions as assigned.

• Knowledge of custodial methods, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to operate mechanical and manual cleaning equipment.
• Recognize safety issues and problems.
• Works independently and plans and schedules work by priority.
• Physical ability to negotiate stairs, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs with frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs; extended standing, walking, and sitting; occasional driving.
• Communicates effectively orally and in writing.
• Successfully completes an FBI background check and maintains unescorted access to the SIDA.
• Can perform tasks involving frequent bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, reaching, grappling, and operating controls in a noisy, vibrational, or hazardous environment.
