Part-Time HR & Payroll Administrator

Gagnon Clay Products is a long-standing local business providing fireplaces, brick, and stone products for new construction and remodeling. We support a mix of office staff, warehouse employees, drivers, and installers.

We are seeking a Part‑Time HR & Payroll Administrator to take day‑to‑day HR administration and payroll responsibilities off our leadership team’s plate. This is a hands‑on, detail‑oriented role and is not an HR Manager position.

• Run bi‑weekly payroll including time review, pay codes, and final submission
• Track PTO and maintain accurate employee records
• Manage onboarding paperwork (I‑9, W‑4, direct deposit, policy acknowledgements)
• Coordinate hiring administration including postings, screening scheduling, and offer letters
• Support benefits administration and employee questions
• Assist with workers’ compensation and incident documentation
• Maintain HR documentation and compliance files

• This role does not lead terminations, investigations, or disciplinary decisions
• Final employee relations decisions remain with company leadership

This role works closely with ownership and finance and requires professionalism, confidentiality, and strong follow-through.

• Hands‑on experience running payroll, not just assisting
• Strong attention to detail and follow‑through
• Comfort working with hourly employees and field teams
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft 365 and spreadsheets

• HR certification (SHRM‑CP or PHR)
• Experience in construction, trades, warehousing, or manufacturing environments
