The Human Resources Generalist will be under the direction of the HR Manager and will hire, onboard, recruit, train new employees and provide information/explain benefits & advocate for our employees.
Responsibilities- Recruit and interview potential driver applicants
- Organize and manage new employee orientation, onboarding, and training programs
- Provide/explain information to employees on benefits/programs
- Maintain employee records and paperwork
- Maintain data integrity of HRIS and administer employee changes
- Handle leaves of absence with employees
- Maintain and report on workplace health and safety compliance
- Maintain employee and workplace privacy
- Maintain employee files and attendance records
- Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource function
- Answer employee questions, address concerns (including health and safety)
- Represent Kitchen Fresh Foods in recruiting events
- Update job requirements as needed
- Communicate with Driver Manager on staffing needs
- Hiring process (verify documents & background check)
- Train new hires on clocking in & out on time clocks
- Communicate with staffing agencies on staffing needs
- E-mail Temporary Staffing Agencies hours over weekly
- Ensure Staffing Agency Rosters are up to date/accurate
- Adheres to and complies with all food safety, food quality and GMP policies
- Four-year college or two-year technical degree preferred.
- Experience will be considered instead of a degree.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to navigate through production environments (slippery, warm, cold, etc.). Must be able to lift to 20 pounds at a time.
