Responsible for a point of sale in the venue where artist merchandise is sold. Prior to the event you will be responsible for taking inventory and preparing the stand display. After the event, the seller is responsible for closing out which includes a final count on the remaining merchandise which is returned.
Job Duties- Demonstrates and embodies the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.
- Knowledge of sales at a level normally acquired through completion of a high school education.
- Provides superior customer service.
- Maintain accurate cash handling while processing purchases with the POS (point of sale system).
- Properly handle guest credit/debit cards and applicable transactions.
- Prepare your stand display before the event begins so that fans can view what is for sale.
- Assist fans with their purchases by sharing merchandise information, such as pricing and sizing.
- Physically count merchandise inventory prior to the start of the event and again at the end of the show.
- Maintain your stand throughout the duration of the event.
- Work in a fast-paced, often loud, but exciting environment.
- Creates a positive work environment.
- Occasional high stress work when dealing with customers and peak service volumes.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers.
- Frequent mobility and/or sitting or standing required for extended periods of time.
- Must have a good understanding of and ability to effectively communicate with people.
- Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with daily workload and a variety of people.
- Knowledge of business practices normally acquired through completion of a high school degree.
- Requires working in a fast-paced environment with irregular hours, as dictated by schedule of events.
- Requires standing for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. using proper lifting techniques.
- Requires hearing within normal range to communicate with staff and customers.
- Requires public contact and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have cash handling experience.
