Job Title:
Mechanical Designer
Job Description This role involves completing project designs and detailed drawings, as well as Bills of Materials (BOMs) within customer guidelines. The Mechanical Designer must interpret complex engineering specifications to design components and sub-assemblies using sound design principles, creative and independent judgment. The position requires teamwork under the guidance of the Design Manager and Lead Designer.
- Generate detailed drawings as directed by the Design Manager and/or Lead Designers using Solidworks.
- Accurately and efficiently produce shop drawings.
- Participate actively in job status meetings.
- Communicate professionally with team members and managers to gather necessary information for accurate drawings.
- Manage time effectively and report progress to the Design Manager and Lead Designer.
- Proficiency in Solidworks.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other Autodesk products.
- Understanding of PDM Software.
- Ability to interpret complex engineering specifications.
- Creative and independent judgement in design.
Skills & Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Mechanical Design or equivalent.
- Willingness to travel once per quarter to project sites.
- Experience working on sheet metal projects.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting and mechanical inclination.
- Familiarity with CAMduct, CAMmep, and/or Navisworks.
This position is on-site in Greenville, with working hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The company culture is 'people first', with an open-door policy from owners and management, who are on-site every day.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Green Bay, WI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00/hr.
