Key Responsibilities- Evaluate students and interpret findings as a member of the IEP team, making recommendations for services.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and direct/indirect services based on evaluations and IEPs.
- Participate in IEP development, attend meetings, and collaborate with parents and teachers.
- Utilize assistive technology to support student participation.
- Provide evidence‑based therapeutic interventions and adaptations to optimize student performance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
- Collaborate with educational personnel, community agencies, parents, and students to enhance understanding and performance.
- Provide continuing education and in‑service training for staff.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion by removing barriers for students of diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in interactions with students, families, and colleagues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Work involves frequent disruptions of daily schedule.
- Work requires travel to a variety of assigned schools to provide services to children.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification as an Occupational Therapist
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university
- Experience working in a K‑12 educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and the community
- Commitment to fostering a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment
