Position: Director, Client Success - Breakthrough

Director, Client Success - Breakthrough – Breakthrough

Location:

Green Bay, WI (hybrid or remote options). This role is full‑time and reports to the Managing Director of Business & Entrepreneurship Center.

Position Summary

The Director of Client Success is responsible for maintaining and growing Breakthrough solutions within our current Fortune 500 client base. The role involves representing the full range of Breakthrough product offerings to clients, identifying opportunities to add value, and driving revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities
  • Establish strong, professional, and ongoing relationships with key stakeholders within assigned clients, elevating engagement to VP level where appropriate.
  • Utilize Salesforce to map all client relationships and coordinate account planning for cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Articulate the value proposition of Breakthrough’s product portfolio and demonstrate application to each client, with quarterly or semi‑annual value engagements.
  • Lead strategy and change management to enable value through new client implementations, encouraging early use of extended freight and sustainability tools.
  • Identify opportunities for additional value delivery and coordinate deep-selling activities with product sales leaders.
  • Lead the account planning cycle to deliver exceptional value and service, including 1‑ and 3‑year strategic roadmaps.
  • Share experiences and develop best practices among the Client Delivery team.
  • Coach and provide development opportunities for Client Account Managers in alignment with Team Leads.
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate client needs in partnership with Client Account Managers.
  • Review usage logs to determine patterns or changes in how clients derive value.
  • Achieve industry‑leading client and product retention metrics.

  • Champion continuous improvement and quality control efforts to innovate and improve efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.
  • Continuously learn and develop professionally.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, and/or customer relations.
  • Outstanding client relationship‑management skills.
  • Ability to excel in a team environment.
  • Proven track record of client retention and relationship building.
  • Self‑motivated with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.

Preferred:

  • Experience in fuel markets, transportation, or supply chain.
