Senior Accountant

Job Overview

Schneider is seeking a Senior Accountant in Green Bay WI to participate in close processes, including preparing internal reporting and performing in-depth variance analysis. The Senior Accountant will put together period-end journal entries, perform analytical review procedures during monthly close, and prepare reconciliations for balance sheet accounts.

• Be responsible for accounting areas such as goodwill, equity, share-based compensation, leases, certain subledger activity, intercompany transactions and balances and foreign currency.
• Review and post journal entries during period-end close processes.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assess the effectiveness of control procedures.
• Prepare external financial reporting.
• Implement new accounting standards.
• Develop, document and implement procedures that will produce timely and accurate financial information.
• Document processes and procedures.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• Four to six years of accounting or auditing experience.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems, such as Oracle.
• Public accounting experience preferred.
