Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager / Assistant Controller (flexible based on experience) Green Bay, WI

A financially stable, growth-oriented manufacturing organization is seeking a senior-level accounting professional to support core financial operations across multiple business units. This role works closely with finance leadership and plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, disciplined processes, and continuous improvement.

• Ownership of core accounting activities across multiple entities
• Oversight of monthly and annual close processes
• Preparation and review of journal entries, reconciliations, and internal financial reporting
• Maintenance and improvement of account structure and reporting frameworks
• Support of payroll and fixed asset accounting processes
• Partnership with leadership on audit coordination and compliance activities
• Identification and implementation of process improvements and efficiencies
• Use of systems, reporting tools, and automation to improve accuracy and visibility
• Oversight and development of one accounting professional located at an operating site

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related discipline
• Several years of progressive accounting experience in a structured environment
• Strong command of general ledger activity and financial reporting
• Demonstrated consistency and longevity in prior roles
• Comfort supporting and developing others (formal or informal leadership)
• Systems-oriented mindset with interest in improving processes
• Manufacturing or multi-entity experience is helpful but not required
