Department Information
Division of Facilities Management – Northern District. This position is open to current Colorado residents only.
Job DescriptionThe role is assigned to Platte Valley Youth Services Center and is responsible for troubleshooting and correcting building client issues, performing general building maintenance, and operating independently to perform the full range of tasks.
Responsibilities- General building maintenance – wall, flooring, painting, mechanical room inspections, minor repairs, lock and door repairs, hinge repairs, FRP installation.
- Electrical troubleshooting – light switches, receptacles, circuit breaker resetting, HVAC controls.
- Plumbing troubleshooting – sink, toilet, floor drain, sewer drain lines.
- HVAC troubleshooting – thermostat adjustments and airflow modifications.
- Administrative duties – Maximo work order system, labor tracking, budget reports, status reports.
- Snow removal, travel to other North District sites as needed.
- Four years of building maintenance experience in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, HVAC, and ground maintenance.
- Experience working in a correctional environment (preferred).
- Proficiency in building maintenance and MS Office.
