Join our team as a Transportation (Non-Fleet) Risk/Sales Advisor at Flood and Peterson. We are seeking a driven, client-focused professional to help grow our Transportation Non-Fleet Division. In this role, you will identify new business opportunities and guide clients through complex insurance landscapes. About the Role

As a Transportation (Non-Fleet) Risk/Sales Advisor, you will develop a book of business and provide consultative insurance solutions for non-fleet operators. You will collaborate with internal teams and industry partners to stay ahead of market trends and deliver exceptional service. This position offers hands-on experience, comprehensive training, and ongoing professional development.

What You’ll Do

  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calls, referrals, networking, and lead generation.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build lasting relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Sales Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to company growth.
  • Risk Needs Analysis: Assess client risks and recommend tailored insurance solutions.
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with service teams and leadership to ensure excellent client support.
  • Industry Engagement: Participate in industry organizations and community initiatives.
  • Marketing & Presentations: Develop proposals, presentations, and digital campaigns with marketing teams.

What You Bring

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or 4-6 years related experience; or equivalent.
  • License or Certification: STAR designation, Colorado multiple lines license, valid Colorado driver’s license, and acceptable MVR.
  • Experience in trucking industries and understanding of commercial insurance is a plus.
  • Proven sales success, relationship-building skills, and excellent communication skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a proactive approach.
