Job Summary

The Assistant Line Supervisor provides support to the Line Supervisor for various manufacturing operations within the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborates with plant leadership and shift team members to champion a world‑class safety culture.
  • Helps manage and direct activities of assigned shift, ensuring product adheres to Local Hive's standard of safety, quality, and throughout.
  • Analyzes the production schedule prior to shift start and adjusts team member assignments to meet production targets.
  • Inspects raw materials prior to changeovers to ensure correct inventories for production runs and performs first‑pass quality checks after changeovers to prevent non‐conforming product.
  • Collaborates with the maintenance department to resolve downtime occurrences on the production lines.
  • Completes shift reports for production numbers, downtime, and quality checks.
  • Conducts walkthroughs in production throughout the shift to ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping compliance by team members.
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company and plant safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
  • Perform all tasks in a manner that promotes safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum

Job Requirements

Experience in a highly controlled quality manufacturing lab or process preferred.

Minimum Supervisor Experience Of 1-3 Years
  • Ability to learn quickly, work independently, multi‑task and prioritize under pressure.
  • Previous working experience in the food industry is a plus.
Physical Demands
  • Occasionally required to sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; bend, lift or climb.
  • Occasionally required to lift moderate weights (25-50 pounds).
  • Occasionally required to lift heavy weights (50 pounds or greater).
  • Finger dexterity required and hand coordination required.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust or focus.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to adverse conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, wet and/or humid conditions.
  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposure to high, precarious places.
  • Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Possible risk of electrical shock.
  • Protective clothing or equipment is required including gloves, hair nets, steel‑toed boots, protective eyewear.
