General Description:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Work cooperatively with management, team members, customers and regulatory agencies to ensure sanitation procedures are followed.
• Maintain open communications with all team members in the plant.
• Meet with the Supervisor on a regular basis to ensure all issues are being properly handled and addressed including missing or damaged parts and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and workspace in a designated area of the plant.
• Ensure team members in assigned area complete job tasks to QA and USDA standards. Inspect equipment to ensure all areas are clean for pre-op inspections.
• Handle chemicals to ensure usage is within specified limits.
• Monitor and provide PPE.
• Other duties as assigned.

• The position requires attributes of integrity, honesty, initiative and customer focus.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6 months to a year in sanitation/food processing industry
