Full Salary Range: $89,017 - $129,075 Annually
Anticipated Hiring Range: $89,017 - $117,672 Annually

The City of Greeley is seeking a Grants Manager to join the Department of Finance. The Grants Manager will oversee the city-wide grants function and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This role reports to the Finance Director and plays a key role in securing and managing funds to support various city projects and initiatives. This position will be responsible for, and partner with, the Financial Reporting Manager to deliver the annual Single Audit of federal grants and to prepare the Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA).
The Grants Manager will also be responsible for monthly revenue and expenditures, as well as other financial reporting.
Experience, Education, and
Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or a related field or a certification program of comparable length (i.e. Grant Professional Certification (GPC)).
- Five to seven (5-7) years of experience with complicated practices and precedents and an in-depth knowledge of local governmental accounting.
- Three to five (3-5) years of supervisor experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in grant management, including grant acquisition, budgeting, compliance, and reporting.
OR
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job,
AND Possession of a valid driver’s license.
Preferred- Master’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, public administration, or related field.
- Seven (7) years or more of experience with complicated practices and precedents, and an in-depth knowledge of local governmental accounting.
- Five (5) years or more of supervisor experience.
- Five (5) years or more of experience in grant management, including grant acquisition, budgeting, compliance, and reporting.
- Proficiency in grant management software and financial systems.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local grant regulations and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of various economic development incentive type agreements and special purpose districts.
- Knowledge of the business, organizational, and financial structure of Colorado municipalities.
- Collaboration skills, including the ability to work with others from different areas and backgrounds to reach a common goal.
- Computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), Adobe, Euna, including financial software systems and grant software, and the ability to learn and experiment with new software and systems.
- Interpersonal skills, including the ability to facilitate interaction, communication, and teamwork between others.
