* Ensures rehab department is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations
* Ensures patients records and reports are maintained up to federal, state, local and Company’s regulations
* Provides education and training for PT, OT and SLP staff on the facility’s related policies and procedures
* Manages the rehab department and staffing within the budget
* Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the Administrator and HR as required concerning the operation of the rehab department
* Coordinates and participates in care plan meetings
* Handles complaints/issues in a timely manner
* Performs administrative duties as required by the position
* Monitor the facility’s survey reports and assist in developing plans of action to correct potential or identified problem areas
* Responsible for, in conjunction with HR, the recruitment and selection of Rehab Staff
* Must be a licensed PT or OT (Pay is dependent on level of licensure and leadership experience)
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership position in skilled nursing facility, preferred
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to have difficult conversations while maintaining compassion
* Must be self-motivated and have excellent follow-through
* Have the ability to multi task and keep a calm demeanor even in chaotic situations
* Must be able to maintain confidential information
* Be a champion of positivity and high morale
* Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug test
