HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER - GREELEY, COLORADO - $75,000-$85,000
Norfolk Iron and Metal is one of the largest family-owned steel service centers in the nation. The Human Resource Manager is based in the Greeley facility but will also provide occasional support to the needs of employees and leaders at the NIM facilities in Windsor, Colorado, Brighton, Colorado and Albuquerque, New Mexico. This role functions as a key member of the Branch Leadership Team, acting as a liaison between the local facilities and the corporate HR team to effectively administer employee benefits, compensation, policy implementation, compliance, and payroll.
The HR Manager will support the local leadership team with employee relations, recruitment, policy administration, and organizational changes.
- Recruit, interview, hire and onboard employees
- Coaching and counseling employees
- Review timecards and leave requests to ensure accurate payroll submission
- Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations
- Planning and coordinating employee events
- Manage Workers Compensation claims with the support of the Safety Coordinator
- Support corporate initiatives through communication and training as needed
- 3-5 years of direct Human Resources experience preferred
- Above average written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with a HRIS
- Knowledge and experience with Colorado FAMLI
- Must be able to pass a drug test and background screen
