Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$51,856.00

Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:

$72,250.00

Placement within the salary range above is based on a combination of education and work experience.

Job Description:

Full-time 9-month academic position for an English Instructor. This is a full-time, benefited faculty position starting in Fall 2026.

The faculty member will conduct their assignments and co-curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purpose of Aims Community College as stated in the school catalog. The primary purpose of the faculty member is to teach. The faculty member is also responsible for professional development and service to the college.

The faculty member is responsible for delivering effective and high-quality English instruction and assessment in various English courses (listed in the position), continually refining and modernizing the curriculum so that it remains educationally sound and meets the high standards of Aims Community College, and developing curriculum as assigned.

Duties also include working with the Department Chair to ensure curricular standards are met, maintaining currency in the faculty member’s field of expertise (adopting new teaching methodology as appropriate), participating in college committees, organizations, community service opportunities, developing and maintaining teaching materials that meet national and state accessibility standards, and participating in college efforts to enhance student persistence and retention and integrating liberal arts with career/technical (occupational) education.

Faculty must be available to teach at various locations and times, be available to students outside of class, and utilize computer technology in instruction. They should support institutional goals, engage with external partners, and uphold the college's mission and commitment to student success. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by leadership.
