We offer a competitive salary ranging from $92,910 to $102,690 per year, based on skills and experience.

DescriptionThe Area Superintendent (AS) supervises a specific area of a construction project, ensuring schedule, budget, safety, quality, and personnel development objectives are met. The AS oversees field engineers, safety compliance, craft supervision, trade coordination, scheduling, material handling, daily reporting, quality control, and training. This is a safety‑sensitive position.
Position Qualifications- A 4‑year degree in civil/structural engineering, architecture, or construction management.
- Minimum 5‑6 years of experience on large commercial construction projects.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel), Prolog, Primavera, and Autodesk Suite.
- Experience in construction layout, blueprint reading, and shop drawing interpretation.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- CPR & First Aid Certification.
- Coordinate, supervise, and mentor the workforce in the assigned area.
- Plan and organize field construction work, collaborating with trade partners; participate in weekly schedule and management meetings.
- Promote and enforce site‑specific safety plans; create AHAs/STAs with foremen and review trade partner AHAs.
- Manage the four‑week schedule for the area to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain accurate cost and production records.
- Coordinate material handling and site utilization plans; liaise with project and office engineers on material needs, RFIs, etc.
- Oversee quality control, establishing high standards for the company and trade partners.
- Manage the punch list process to ensure owner acceptance at project turnover.
- Develop and maintain relationships with owner, architect, engineer, and trade partners to deliver quality and customer service.
- Participate in project coordination meetings and assist BIM & VDC engineers with issue resolution to keep submittals on schedule.
Moderate work. Requires occasional lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Walk, kneel, sit, crouch, reach, stoop, read, speak, push, pull, lift, stand, and type.
- Walk occasionally within the office to access file cabinets, machinery, and boxes.
- Operate computer and other office machinery continuously.
- Communicate with employees and stakeholders about administration topics.
- Analyze and conceptualize mathematical calculations.
- Read written communications, mail, blueprints, and field measurements.
- Climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
- Maintain balance to prevent falling.
- Stoop with spine at waist.
- Operate vehicle as required.
- Occasional exposure to temperature extremes, noise, and outdoor elements.
