Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee
Safelite is looking for an eager trainee to learn the fundamentals of auto glass repair and replacement. As a Technician Trainee, you will receive hands‑on classroom instruction, on‑the‑job apprenticeship, and on‑the‑road training that will prepare you for a career as a certified Safelite technician.
OverviewAs a trainee, you will be trained to become a proficient auto glass technician. Upon completing our training program, the trainee will receive the Safelite Safe Tech certification and will possess fundamental skills necessary for performing unsuper glass repair, replacement and recalibrations. The trainee is expected to embody the Safelite Spirit with a can‑do attitude, caring heart and service mindset while striving to bring unexpected happiness to customers by completing jobs timely and with the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Be paid to learn and apprentice the Safelite way, through hands‑on and classroom training.
- Observe and assist in installing, repairing and recalibrating auto glass and automotive safety systems.
- Apply safety procedures while operating company and customer vehicles, tools and chemicals.
- Study and pass necessary testing to become a Safelite‑certified technician.
- Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all company policies and standards.
- Competitive weekly pay starting at $21.25/hour, increasing to $25.25/hour after training and certification.
- Earn $5/set of wiper blades when added for customer safety.

- Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement.
- Paid training and all the tools and resources you’ll need to be successful.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
- Valid state‑issued driver’s license. All required licenses must be maintained while operating company vehicles.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, work in tight spaces, and adapt to weather conditions.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic tools for recalibrations.
- Strong customer‑service orientation and commitment to quality.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
