Apply for the Field Maintenance Technician at NASA Federal Credit Union. This full‑time role involves shipping & receiving responsibilities and field maintenance across branch locations. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel multiple times per week are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Level I
  • Adhere to Credit Union policies, procedures, and Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
  • Maintain grounds, irrigation systems, and display graphics.
  • Receive and transport construction materials to branches.
  • Set up meeting rooms.
  • Apply paints or bituminous compounds to surfaces.
  • Spray cleaning, coating, or sealing materials through hoses.
  • Apply caulking compounds by hand or with a caulking gun.
  • Order and maintain maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance per established schedules.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Hang or replace ceiling tiles.
  • Back up all Shipping/Receiving Specialist duties as needed.
  • Assist the Field Maintenance Technician II/Sr. accordingly.
Level II
  • Diagnose and repair minor defects on branch equipment, copiers, and lighting.
  • Install cameras, security monitors, LCDs, and digital displays.
  • Run data lines, terminate cables, and punch down to terminal blocks.
  • Detect and correct malfunctioning equipment.
  • Replace damaged wires with hand tools and test equipment.
  • Perform basic plumbing repairs and maintenance.
  • Load test and replace batteries for bank and alarm equipment.
  • Resolve work problems and support coworkers.
  • Repair or replace drywall, ceiling tiles, carpet tiles, ceramic tiles, and VCT.
  • Repair or reconfigure modular furniture.
  • Install hardware, locks, doors, and cabinets.
  • Respond to alarm calls related to facility issues.
  • Execute emergency repairs during off‑business hours (on‑call).
  • Repair and install electrical systems and components.
  • Maintain computer records of preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose faults and apply electronic knowledge for troubleshooting.
  • Assist oversight of contractors engaged in mechanical and electrical work.
Education & Experience Level I
  • High school diploma or GED plus 1–2 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Valid driver’s license and vehicle.
  • Ability to work on‑call shifts as scheduled.
Level II (Meets all Level I requirements)
  • High school diploma or GED plus 3–4 years of related experience and/or training.
  • Certificates and/or coursework in basic plumbing and troubleshooting.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly lift or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, use hands, reach, talk, or hear regularly.
  • Occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Compensation

$31,200 – $66,250 a year
