Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for a Level II Trauma Center position requiring strong general OR, robotics, and scrub/circulate skills across a wide range of surgical specialties.

Job Details

• Work in the Operating Room of a Level II Trauma Center hospital,

• Adult and geriatric patient population with a 1:1 patient ratio,

• Surgical specialties include general OR, trauma, urology, podiatry, orthopedics, plastics, neuro, gynecology, endoscopy, ENT, thoracic, vascular, cardiology, bariatric, and DaVinci robotics,

• Schedule is 4x10-hour mid/evening shifts (shift start 13:30),

• Weekend shifts are required, including on-call weekend coverage,

• On-call requirement of 10-15 shifts per contract, equally divided among OR staff,

• Weekday/weeknight on-call runs from end of shift through 6:30 AM the following morning; weekend on-call is 24-hour call,

• Holiday coverage required as scheduled,

• Floating required within the surgical specialty and to a sister campus as needed,

• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Maryland (or MD-eligible compact license) currently in hand,

• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred,

• Minimum 3 years of OR experience required (candidates with 2 years of strong experience may be considered),

• Demonstrated experience with general OR cases and DaVinci robotics required,

• Ability to both scrub and circulate required,

• First-time travelers will be considered for candidates with strong general OR and robotics experience and the ability to scrub and circulate,

• On-call shifts are distributed equally among all OR staff,
