CVOR RN - Days - 40 Hours Contract Position Location

Maryland

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 4x10 hours from 06:45 AM to 05:15 PM. May require earlier start times for specific cases.

Job Description

Seeking a skilled CVOR RN with extensive experience in circulating and scrubbing for cardiovascular surgeries. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience but will consider first-time travelers with strong general OR experience across various service lines, including Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, and General Surgery. Must be able to adapt to floating within the OR as needed based on case volume.

Responsibilities
  • Circulate and scrub for cardiovascular surgeries.
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients preoperatively and postoperatively.
  • Monitor patient status and respond to emergencies during surgery.
  • Assist in the preparation of the OR and assure proper handling of surgical instruments.
  • Participate in on-call coverage and weekend shifts as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active RN license in Maryland or a compact state.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in cardiovascular operating room nursing preferred.
  • Previous charge experience is beneficial.
