Tool Specialist – Arch Key Solutions
Location:
Clinton, MD. This position is based out of our Clinton, MD Office.
Arch Key is one of the nation’s largest privately held specialty trade installation and integrated facility service companies. We design, build and maintain electrical, technologies and specialty systems, leading the industry in sustainability, scalability and equity.
Responsibilities- Order tools and supply projects with appropriate tools needed, assure tool returns and call for tools to be sent back to the shop from field projects.
- Maintain accurate tool inventory numbers and ensure high quality of tools and equipment.
- Accurately fill tool orders from the warehouse; inspect quality, organize, and stage tools for delivery.
- Manage and inventory all tools and equipment; assist in annual tool inventories utilizing a computerized inventory system.
- Create schedules for tool/equipment deliveries and pick‑ups from project job sites; locate tools from project sites not being utilized.
- Assist in necessary tool purchases, providing completed purchase orders and submitting to accounts payable per company procedures.
- Load and unload tools on and off delivery trucks; audit job sites for tool recovery prior to job completion to minimize tool loss; safely operate forklift as needed.
- Clear, maintain, repair and organize warehouse tools; restock inventory items as needed.
- Ship and receive packages via UPS daily; minimize delivery costs whenever possible.
- Make decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
- Utilize LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficient operations, processes and activities.
- Promote and model the Company mission, vision and values through sound and ethical business practices, championing DEI and providing high quality services and programs.

- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or related work experience preferred.
- 1‑3 years of experience working with tools or schedules in a construction warehouse environment; knowledge of the electrical construction industry preferred.
- Experience safely driving and operating a forklift; previous experience using computerized inventory systems preferred.
- Knowledge of current regulations through MD DOT; MD DOT certification preferred.
- Basic training, experience and skills in project management; understanding of the project life cycle.
- Knowledge and work experience with LEAN concepts and methodologies; strong process orientation.
- Strong organizational skills, scheduling abilities and detail orientation.
- Demonstrated strong mathematical skills; effective problem solving and time management skills.
- Strong collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated elevated level of integrity and dependability.
