Commuter stipend for FT Clinicians, up to $400/month!
Schedule: 8am-5pm, Mon-Fri with an occasional weekend day rotation every 4-6 wks.
Starting Pay: $70,720 and up
Organization: The IAFF Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health Treatment and Recovery is a one-of-a-kind addiction treatment facility specializing in PTSD for IAFF members and IAFF members struggling with addiction, PTSD, and related behavioral health challenges.

We provide evidence-based care and strive to help men and women live healthy, happy lives free from substance abuse or mental illness.
ResponsibilitiesThe Clinician I is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. The Clinician I will manage a patient caseload and provide group, individual, and family therapy. The Clinician I will conduct psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments, collaborate with the Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan, and assist in coordinating discharge planning.
The Clinician I maintains primary responsibility for communication with families, referral sources, and other service providers as needed.
- Provide excellent individual, family, and group therapy to assigned patients following the program curriculum provided by the Clinical Director
- Complete and ensure appropriate sign-off of all required documentation in compliance with company policies, state regulations, Joint Commission standards, and Medical Needs Criteria. Documents include:
- Biopsychosocial Assessment and Integrated Summary (72 hours)
- Comprehensive Problem List
- Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates (24-72 hours based on payer)
- ASAMs (24 hours, based on state standards)
- Individual, family, and group therapy session notes (24 hours)
- Discharge Summary (72 hours)
- Use substance abuse and co-occurring therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques to assist patients in achieving treatment goals and completing treatment
- Assess patients for substance use disorders, risk to self or others, and co-occurring mental health disorders
- Utilize therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve treatment goals and successful completion
- Manage aftercare recommendations and support to maintain recovery
- Provide group therapy
- Manage caseload in accordance with state requirements
- Participate in crisis intervention as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (e.g., Financial Case Managers) to plan aftercare and secure resources
- Complete daily documentation to meet 92% completion metrics within compliance
- Attend Daily Flash Meetings in the absence of the Clinical Director or Assistant Clinical Director
- Maintain positive relationships with all staff
- Participate in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews
- Maintain healthy boundaries with patients and staff
- Seek and accept feedback from supervisors
- Provide a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients
- Communicate significant patient developments to supervisor
- Participate in Quality Improvement activities and contribute to organizational success
- Pursue professional development through education and training programs
- Contribute positively to staff morale
- Perform other tasks as assigned
- Masters' Degree in social work, psychology, or related human services field required
- Independently Licensed in the State of practice (Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counselor, or related field)
- Accepted credentials may include: LCSW-C, LCMFT, LCPC, L CadC, Licensed PhD/PsyD, CPR and BFA Certification
- Minimum one (1) year of work experience in the behavioral health field preferred
- Proficiency in communication and written skills
- Knowledge of state and federal confidentiality laws
- Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems
- Proficiency in documenting medical standards per ASAM and Locus criteria
