As a Associate Network Engineer, you will join our team supporting Qineti

Q and MOD customers. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on IT and networking experience who enjoys solving problems, learning new skills, and contributing to critical projects. You’ll work in an ITIL‑based environment supporting multiple projects across different layers, delivering technical outputs that ensure secure, efficient transfer of data and the delivery of key communications and network systems. Day‑to‑day, you’ll be investigating and resolving technical issues, supporting multiple projects across different layers of the network, and ensuring the secure transfer of data for Qineti

Q and MOD customers. You’ll work closely with project managers and technical leads to deliver quality outputs, assist with system implementations, and escalation of complex problems when needed. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, follow processes, and support the team by sharing knowledge, providing practical solutions, and helping maintain high standards across all projects.

• Investigate and resolve technical issues across networks and systems
• Support multiple projects and ensure timely delivery of technical outputs
• Assist with the implementation and configuration of new systems and solutions
• Escalate complex problems to senior engineers or technical leads when required

• Hands‑on experience in networking, IT, communications, or cloud computing
• Experience in Level 2–3 helpdesk roles or 1–3 years as a networking engineer in an IT department
• Understanding of Microsoft, Windows, Linux, CISCO or coding environments would be advantageous
• Ability to investigate problems, provide solutions, and escalation of complex issues
• Professionalism and experience in a structured IT environment

• Degree in engineering or equivalent IT‑related experience
• Hands‑on experience working on IT architecture or network systems

This role is 37 hours per week based xible working patterns available.

The Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities. Developing technologies for military and civilian applications, including sensors, communications and cyber security.
