Base Pay RangeContract:
Full Time (36 hours per week). Working Pattern:
Days and Weekends.
Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not‑for‑profit charity dedicated to providing excellent care with a family feel. We support older people for over 120 years through care homes and day‑care services.
Role SummaryAs a Shift Leader you will deliver person‑centred care, support residents in maintaining key skills and independence, and lead a team to provide high‑quality, individualized care.
Responsibilities- Ensure residents are safe, comfortable, and respected.
- Champion safety and dignity for all residents.
- Lead the team in delivering quality care in line with procedures and policies.
- Maintain accurate, clear records.
- Follow procedures for ordering, administering, and dispensing medication.
- Conduct supervision and appraisal sessions and promote staff development.
- Maintain a safe, clean workplace and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Work evenings, weekends, and occasional unsociable hours as required.
- Previous experience in a similar role with team leadership and medication management.
- Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or higher desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Numeracy and digital skills, problem‑solving ability, and adaptability.
- Ability to identify and report safeguarding concerns.
