Field Service Engineer

Location: Malvern, Worcestershire (UK & occasional overseas travel)

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (flexibility required)

The Company

A well-established engineering manufacturer based in Malvern is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their growing team. The company designs, manufactures and services specialist equipment supplied to a range of regulated industrial environments across the UK and internationally.

The Role

This is a hands‑on, customer‑facing position involving the service, inspection and maintenance of specialist fire fighting systems at client sites. Working to a planned schedule, you will ensure equipment is serviced safely, professionally and in line with regulatory standards.

The role involves UK travel and occasional overnight stays (expenses paid), with opportunities for overseas assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service and maintain fire fighting equipment at customer sites
  • Carry out inspections of pressure systems
  • Fault find and repair mechanical systems
  • Ensure van stock levels are maintained appropriately
  • Accurately complete job sheets, time sheets and parts documentation
  • Adhere to health & safety standards and company procedures
  • Deliver high-quality customer service at all times
The Person
  • Mechanical engineering knowledge (essential)
  • Electrical or pneumatic knowledge (advantageous)
  • Ability to fault find and repair equipment independently
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills
  • Positive, professional and customer‑focused attitude
  • Educated to GCSE grade C/4 or above in English and Maths
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel and stay away when required
Desirable
  • Experience with in the fire industry
  • Recognised engineering qualification
