North 40 Outfitters in Great Falls, MT, East Location, is looking to hire a Full‑Time Salaried Category Assistant Store Manager – Sporting Goods to join our team. You will be responsible for the customer experience, ensuring we exceed expectations in a challenging, fast‑paced environment. The role requires strong sales leadership, safeguarding company assets, leading and developing a team, and maintaining store standards.

A working knowledge of outdoor recreation, farm and ranch, animal health, tools, and hardware is a plus.

This full‑time position requires working all scheduled shifts between Monday–Saturday 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. As a managerial role it may include 50+ hours a week, including weekends and certain holidays, and requires flexibility in scheduling based on business needs.

• Skilled in leadership, sales generation, strategic planning, business acumen, time management, and general retail software proficiency
• Willingness to relocate if needed
• Understanding of correct lifting and loading techniques; physically able to lift and carry weights ranging from 0–55 lbs and spend 100 % of work time on feet, including use of ladders and pallet jacks
