RN - MedSurg

This is a 13-week contract position. As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. You will collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Effective interaction with patients and their significant others while maintaining professional nursing standards is essential.

• Provide direct care for pediatric and adult patients before and after surgical procedures.
• Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
• Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
• Manage discharge planning as part of the care continuum from admission to discharge.
• Provide direction to LPNs, CNAs, housekeeping staff, and dietary staff.
• Receive direction from providers, charge nurse, acute care director, and CNO.

Night shift with a patient-to-staff ratio of 5:1.
