Position Details

Position OverviewGreat Falls College Montana State University is seeking a Biology Faculty member to provide classroom and laboratory instruction in Human Anatomy, including Anatomy & Physiology I & II, and Microbiology for the Health Sciences. This tenure‑track position may also involve teaching other biology courses.
Responsibilities- Teach courses relevant to the Montana University System General Education Core and prerequisite coursework for Health Science programs.
- Use traditional and alternative delivery systems, teaching in 8‑week and 16‑week formats, on‑campus and online.
- Adjust to a variety of teaching situations and student preparedness.
- Commit to student success.
- Participate in college committees and activities.
- Pursue tenure per the college’s process.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across campus.
- Master’s degree in Biology or a closely related field (or equivalent: master’s degree plus 9 graduate credits in Biology or related field).
- Experience in course development and teaching at the post‑secondary level.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Anatomy and Physiology I & II.
- Demonstrated experience preparing and instructing Anatomy & Physiology I & II labs.
- Demonstrated experience teaching Microbiology – lecture and labs.
- Ability to use computers and instructional technology.
- Teaching experience at a two‑year college.
- Online teaching experience.
- Experience teaching in compressed or accelerated non‑standard semester schedules.
Salary range: $46,196 to $65,637 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.
