Van Driver

Location: Facility located in Great Barrington mass.
Employment Type: Perdiem
Reports To: Transportation Coordinator / Facility Manager

We are seeking a responsible, courteous, and safety-conscious Van Driver to transport residents to and from medical appointments, outings, events, and other approved destinations. The driver plays a key role in ensuring residents' comfort, safety, and punctuality while representing the organization in a professional manner.

• Safely transport residents using a company-provided van.

• Assist residents in and out of the vehicle, including those with mobility challenges.

• Follow scheduled routes and maintain accurate transport logs.

• Ensure the vehicle is clean, fueled, and properly maintained.

• Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and staff.

• Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company procedures.

• Report any vehicle issues, delays, or incidents promptly.

• Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all residents.

• Valid [State] driver’s license with a clean driving record.

• Prior experience transporting seniors or individuals with special needs is preferred.

• Ability to assist passengers with wheelchairs, walkers, or other mobility aids.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must pass background check and drug screening.

• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred or required depending on facility policy).

• Ability to sit, drive, and assist with loading/unloading for extended periods.

• Lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance.

• Work in varying weather conditions.
