Travel RN - Labor & Delivery

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Massachusetts requiring current MA RN license and specialty certifications.

Job Details

• Work in a hospital-based Labor & Delivery setting with postpartum and mother-baby care responsibilities,

• Night shift position with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM,

• Weekend coverage required every other weekend and holidays as needed,

• On-call responsibilities are required,

• Utilizes specialized equipment such as infant warmers and fetal monitoring devices,

• Collaborates with obstetricians, midwives, and lactation consultants to provide individualized patient care,

• Private patient rooms and operating rooms for Cesarean births are available,

Job Requirements

• Active MA RN license required,

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required,

• Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required,

• Recent Postpartum/Mother Baby care experience is required,

• BLS (AHA), NRP, and STABLE certifications are required,

• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years is required,

• Current skills checklists for Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Mother Baby (within the past year) are required,

• Candidate must have a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility,

• Must have a reliable vehicle for the assignment,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include care for laboring and postpartum mothers as well as newborns,

• Works closely with a team of obstetrical nurses and lactation consultants,

• Training includes an 8-hour, non-billable orientation session,

• No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; all requests must be submitted with application,

• Compliance with scrub or dress code policy is required,
