Registered Nurse - Per Diem

Prior OB/GYN experience required to be considered for this on‑site, per diem position.

Salary Range: $32.00 – $37.00 / hour

The RN triages patients by telephone or walk‑in to determine the urgency and level of care needed. The RN assists the Practice Manager in supervising clinical support staff and supports patient care under the guidance of CHP Physicians. The RN contributes to a caring, collaborative, and innovative work environment, supports CHP’s mission, vision, and values, and adheres to compliance protocols and CHP’s policies and procedures.

• Facilitate comprehensive care for all patients.
• Provide patient education, both written and verbally, during the initial pregnancy visit, post‑operative and post‑partum.
• Arrange appointments and coordinate timely scheduling for ancillary services and specialty referrals.
• Respond to patient emergencies within the scope of RN license.
• Screen, triage, and respond to patient inquiries via telephone, EMR messages, or walk‑in; approve same‑day visits when appropriate; assist with referrals and patient education; supervise medical assistants as needed.
• Assist physicians in procedures requiring nursing level support; administer immunizations and allergy shots; manage prescription requests; process laboratory results; chart procedures and ensure billing codes are correct.
• Assist with running daily equipment controls; chart quality assurance data; maintain patient flow and rooming patients as necessary; answer staff questions within scope of practice; provide staff training as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• RN and/or BSN from an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in an ambulatory setting preferred; recent outpatient experience preferred.
• Electronic medical records experience required;
  Athena experience a plus.
• Licensed as an RN by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
