Position: Fiscal Coordinator
Location: Middleboro, MA 02346
Duration: 5 Months

Summary

The Fiscal Coordinator is responsible for reviewing, reconciling, and processing reimbursement requests while supporting the administration of departmental grant programs. This role works closely with fiscal and municipal staff to ensure compliance with grant guidelines and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with fiscal staff to implement and reconcile documentation submitted under departmental grant programs.
  • Review, reconcile, and process reimbursement and disbursement submissions.
  • Collaborate with municipal staff to investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Recommend reimbursement payments in compliance with grant requirements and guidelines.
  • Provide feedback and recommendations to improve grant guidelines, processes, and performance based on current grant cycle experiences.
  • Support and enhance day-to-day fiscal operations in coordination with departmental staff.
  • Provide training and support to staff and municipal employees on grant programs, including participation in virtual workshops and presentations.
  • Assist with daily revenue receipt, deposits, and spreadsheet tracking as needed.
  • Support the recording and management of departmental fixed assets.
  • Perform data entry of accounting system transactions for authorized approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support daily state operations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and terminology.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain financial records and prepare basic financial reports.
