Job Description:The Community Education office seeks experienced professionals and passionate instructors to lead career-focused, non-credit courses that prepare learners for the workforce. We are especially interested in programs that include job shadowing, externships, hands-on projects, and resume-building opportunities. If you're committed to helping individuals gain practical skills and industry insight, join us in shaping career-ready learners.
Responsibilities include:- Develop and teach courses in assigned subjects and levels.
- Fulfill administrative requirements, meet deadlines, and complete training.
- Maintain compliance training (e.g., Title IX, Clery Act).
- Follow college and department policies.
Schedule varies, including days, evenings, and Saturdays. Locations may include in-person at various campuses or extension sites, with delivery modes including in-person, virtual, asynchronous, or hybrid, most commonly in-person.
Required Qualifications:- Clear background check, subject-matter expertise, effective communication skills, and a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered instruction.
- Proven ability to support learners in acquiring new skills and understanding.
- Competency with instructional technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office, Canvas, enrollment software).
- Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures, genders, languages, and abilities, demonstrating sensitivity and establishing effective relationships.
Qualifications:
- Two years of relevant teaching experience.
- Appropriate credentials or mastery in the subject area, such as a degree or industry certification.
