The Testing Assistant, under the direct supervision of the Manager, Testing Center, is responsible for the administration of tests, the maintenance of test security and confidential information, and customer service support for testing services. Tests are administered in computerized and paper‑based formats.
Responsibilities- Administer tests in strict compliance with all testing rules, regulations and procedures.
- Monitor testing rooms to ensure examinees comply with testing rules and procedures.
- Provide customer service support and information about testing services to students, staff members in other departments and others requesting general information by telephone, email, fax or in person.
- Schedule testing appointments for examinations.
- Provide clear and concise testing instructions to examinees as well as other exam‑related information to students, faculty, staff and community members.
- Report any suspected violations of testing rules and procedures such as cheating and identity fraud to supervisor.
- Assist supervisor in organizing files, workspace and other special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets.
- Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
- Some college coursework.
- Experience working in testing or an educational setting.
- Good organizational, communication and customer service skills.
- Conversational Spanish language skills.
Position requires flexibility to work 19 hours per week, including mornings and afternoons Monday – Friday.
