Workshop Manager - HGV Dealership (West Thurrock)
Salary: £55,000 + 10% Bonus
Hours:
Monday-Friday, 08:00-17:00
Location:
West Thurrock
Our client, a leading commercial vehicle manufacturer, is looking for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead a busy HGV workshop. This is a key leadership role with responsibility for technician management, workshop performance, and delivering an excellent customer experience.
What You'll Do- Manage daily workshop operations and technician workload
- Ensure all repairs and services are completed on time and to quality standards
- Monitor and improve workshop productivity, efficiency, and profitability
- Support customers with clear communication and problem-solving
- Report on workshop KPIs and ensure accurate invoicing and documentation
- Identify training needs and support ongoing staff development
- Experience in an HGV workshop at Supervisor level or above
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Confident in planning, productivity management, and KPI reporting
- Customer-facing experience with good problem-solving ability
- Ideally a Level 3 HGV Technician qualification
