HVAC Estimator

True are partnering with a well-established HVAC and mechanical specialist delivering high-quality commercial fit-out projects across London and the Southeast. With long-standing client relationships and a consistent project pipeline across offices, restaurants, hotels and data-led environments, they're now looking to appoint a Mechanical / HVAC Estimator to join their team based in Orsett, Essex. This role is ideal for an AC-biased engineer (DX background preferred) who's ready to step off the tools and move into an office-based estimating position, or for an Estimator with some experience looking to further develop within a supportive, technically strong business.

• £60,000-£70,000 Basic
• Travel expenses covered for site surveys
• Office-based initially (5 days per week), with hybrid working available after 6 months
• Stable workload with repeat blue-chip clients
• Long-term career development within a close-knit team

• Estimating mechanical & HVAC packages on commercial fit-out projects
• Typical project values up to £1.5m
• Reviewing tender documentation and preparing full bid submissions
• Liaising with client-side estimating teams and supply chain partners
• Obtaining supplier quotations and completing tender returns
• Managing the process from tender stage through to win and handover to PMs
• Using Excel and relevant estimating systems daily

This is a hands‑on estimating role with no line management responsibilities you'll be fully focused on producing accurate, competitive tenders.

• Strong HVAC / air conditioning background (DX experience preferred)
• AC Engineer looking to move into estimating or a relatively green Estimator with some exposure
• Comfortable working with Excel and estimating software
• Commercial fit‑out experience across offices, hospitality, data‑led environments beneficial
• Organised, detail-focused and keen to develop long term
• Able to commute to Orsett, Essex / East London area
