Position: Tutor (Casual) - Learning Support Assistants (TACC)
Location: Thurrock

Salary: £26.07 - £29.72 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Grade: TUTLEC 1 - 4, depending on teaching qualifications and experience.

Permanent contract with variable hours per week, as and when required, subject to demand.

We are seeking engaging and committed individuals to join us as casual tutors to teach the Learning Support Assistant qualification at levels 1 & 2; you do not need to be able to teach both levels and we ask you to specify those you can teach within your supporting statement.

You will be passionate about your subject, have previous and relevant industry experience and be keen to inspire our learners. This role is an exciting opportunity to support Thurrock residents with developing their skills and confidence in a subject of interest to them in their everyday life and work.

Thurrock Adult Community College is the local authority's provider of adult education for Thurrock. Our main base is in the Old Court House in Grays, but we deliver courses across the borough.

Responsibilities
  • Plan courses and lessons, create resources, teach lessons, and mark learners' work and give developmental feedback.
Qualifications
  • Previous and relevant industry experience; passion for subject.
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and maths; ideally a Level 3 award in Education and Training.
  • Experience of teaching adults is desirable.
  • DBS Check:
    Enhanced level with Children's Barred list required.
