Primary Teacher + Music Lead
Primary Teacher + Music Lead at the Good graded, three‑form entry Primary School in Thurrock. The Senior Leadership Team are keen to find an experienced Primary Teacher with a passion for Music who can lead Music across the whole school.
This position is class‑based, but you will receive dedicated out‑of‑class time to carry out your middle leadership responsibilities. There is flexibility in terms of which year group you teach – from EYFS to KS1 or KS2, depending on your strengths and preferences.

- Deliver high quality, engaging primary teaching across the year group of your choice.
- Develop, coordinate and lead the music curriculum across the whole school.
- Assess pupils’ progress in music and provide timely feedback to parents and leadership.
- Collaborate with colleagues to embed music across learning and coordinate multi‑grade projects.
- Prepare and lead CPD sessions on music teaching and assessment for staff.
- Provide out‑of‑class middle leadership time to support the wider school.
- Must hold UK QTS
- Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
- A collaborative team player
- Consistently graded ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ in observations
- Experience and enthusiasm for leading Music across the school
- 3‑form entry Primary School
- Graded ‘Good’ in most recent Ofsted
- Excellent Leadership Team offering clear progression routes
