The Family Support Team (FST) work with families experiencing a range of challenges such as debt, domestic violence, poor mental or emotional health and substance misuse.
About the RoleWe are looking for an Apprentice to join our Family Support Team (FST) in Children's Services. This apprenticeship would suit someone looking for a career in Business Administration and an interest in Social Care. It is desirable that you have four GCSEs Grades 2 - 9 (or A*-E) with English and Mathematics being at Grade 4 - 9 (or A*-D) or Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English.
Equivalent qualifications such as BTEC First Certificate/Diploma or any other Level 1 qualifications will also be considered.
The successful applicant would study a Business Administration Apprenticeship at Level 3 provided by South Essex College. You will be provided with a wide variety of work experience opportunities and support to meet the standards for this level.
Responsibilities- Monitoring a generic FST inbox
- Answering telephone calls
- Tracking data such as passports, birth certificates and meetings
- Supporting with ad-hoc administrative tasks
- Opportunity to shadow and minute-take Children's Services meetings
- Is committed to complete their full Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship study will be undertaken within normal working hours. Time will be allocated to attend training and complete assignments, workbooks, online training etc. as required by the qualification.
