The Role

The firm is seeking an experienced and proactive Associate to join its busy and expanding residential conveyancing team in Gravesend. The role involves managing a full and varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters, with the opportunity to work on commercial matters as required, from initial instruction through to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
  • Transfers of equity and remortgages
  • Managing stamp duty procedures, title checks, search reports, and enquiries
  • Dealing with lease renewals, deeds of surrender, and landlord-tenant matters
  • Managing acquisitions and sales of businesses and related commercial agreements
  • Supporting business development initiatives
  • Maintaining a high standard of client care and professional communication
  • Managing files independently while meeting deadlines in a busy environment

Candidate Requirements

  • Extensive experience in residential conveyancing, with commercial conveyancing knowledge advantageous
  • Highly organised, disciplined, and able to manage a high-volume caseload
  • Proactive, able to prioritise work, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
  • Strong client manner, professional appearance, and technical competence
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a busy team environment
